Crazy Medical School Student

This is what fourth term of medical school does to you (the most difficult term in all of medical school). Not only does he have a mohawk, but notice the crazy look in his eyes (top picture), and the dazed face (bottom picture). I think this man needs a break soon!

And all the while, Tanner is just having a good time!

Monkey Costume

Today, Tanner got a package from Grandma Niederhauser- a monkey costume for Halloween! He looks adorable in it. I let him play with it on for a while to give it a test run for the big day. For Halloween, they will have a party and trick-or-treating on campus. Tanner can't wait! Unfortunately, the hat is a little too small for his big head. But even if it did fit well, he would still pull it off. He's not good with hats. But maybe I can sew a string onto it that goes around his chin. I'll see what I can do. And we'll make sure we get lots of good pictures when he's trick-or-treating!

New Couches and Rock Collections

Tanner loves the new couches that our landlord just gave us. He's been climbing all over them. The problem is, he knows how to climb up onto them, but he hasn't figured out how to get off of them yet. So when he decides he's done playing on the couch and wants to get down, he starts yelling at me until I come get him off. We're working on teaching him how to get down by himself. (Also, that's Josh's highlighter. Tanner stole it right before I took these pictures. Can't you see how proud of himself he is?)

Tanner loves to play outside in our parking lot. As he walks around, he picks up little rocks and takes them everywhere with him. He thinks they are just the coolest thing. In the bottom picture, he's got rocks in both fists. What a silly kid!

Tanner's Week

There wasn't a lot going on last week to take pictures of, but here's four that I took. The bottom two are of Tanner at church yesterday. I wanted to take pictures of him in his new button-up shirt that he just grew into, given to him by his Grandma Oaks. He looks so handsome in it!

Jabba in All His Glory

This is what happens when I leave an opened chocolate  bar on the kitchen table. So, you know how you can tell that a kid is into trouble when they suddenly go silent? Well, here's the story: I noticed that he had gotten a hold of my chocolate bar and was carrying it around, so I tried to take it away from him. But he ran away laughing, so I let him play with it. After a couple  of minutes, he went silent. I just knew something was up by his silence. So I went looking for him, and this is what I found. He had the chocolate smeared all over his face and was chewing on the nuts! It was hilarious. (And it should also be noted that Josh chose the title for this post.)

Multi-Tasking

It's crazy how fast Tanner learned how to walk, and then how to do things while he walks. He is able to pick things up and carry them while he walks. He also prefers walking over crawling now.

New Water Toys

I just bought Tanner some beach toys. He is currently afraid of the beach right now, so I let him play with them at the pool instead. He loves his sweet new toys!
