Bed Time Prayers

This little guy just started saying his bed time prayers. We say a line for him, and he repeats it as best as he can. Just last night, I was walking him through his prayer, and he has such a funny way of saying certain words. His way of saying "thank you" is "day-doo." When I said, "Thank you for Thomas," he said, "Day-doo Choo Choo." When I said, "Thank you for monkey," he said, "Day-doo oo-oo-ah-ah." (He refuses to say Thomas or monkey. Instead, he calls them by the sounds they make.)
Also, every morning when he wakes up, he says, "Morning, Mommy." He also says that to me when he wakes up from his nap.

Tummy Time

February Fun

Tanner always pulls our sled out of the closet and wants to play with it in the house. He and Josh made good use of it one evening, as you can see in this picture.

I found a really cool wooden train track piece at the thrift store that goes perfect with Tanner's train set. It's a double-track bridge. It opens up a lot more possibilities for creating different tracks. Tanner loves it!

Tanner got a hold of the markers one day. And that's a cupcake. He's always a mess these days, but I think that's just all part of being a two-year-old!

Big Snow Storm

Tanner had a fun time watching the big snow storm we had last week. It dumped about a  foot of snow in just a few hours.

This is Josh digging our car out. Tanner was in Heaven with all that snow!

Tanner's Awesome Train

Josh built a cool train track that goes all the way up onto Tanner's mattress. Totally awesome! (Or at least Tanner thought so.)

Valentine's Day Date

Josh and I went to a shooting range for our Valentine's Day date (totally romantic, I know! Haha!). It was actually a LOT of fun! We learned how to load a handgun and shoot it. So cool.

Snow Fort

There are huge ice chunks all over the place here, so Josh and Tanner utilized them by making this cool fort.

Haircuts!

Josh and Tanner got haircuts on Monday night. I guess you could call it our FHE activity. Both boys look spiffy and sharp now!

Playing in the Snow

I took the kids outside to play in the snow last week. It was a lot of fun- up until Tanner wanted to  run away, and I had to chase him through the snow while carrying a carseat with a baby (didn't want to leave the baby behind). I didn't catch up to him until he was behind another building, 2  buildings away. When he refused to walk back home with me, I had to carry him (kicking and screaming) and the carseat. Through the snow. All the way back to our apartment. Not doing that again.

Smiley Girl

This is a new outfit- she is now wearing size 3-6 months! It's sad to put her old  clothes away, but it's exciting to put her in new clothes! She's got a lot more to show off in pictures to come.
Brooklynn has only fallen asleep lying on the floor twice ever. She has to be super tired for it to happen, so it's kind of funny when it does.
New hoodie jacket! So adorable (and warm).
