Fairfax, Virginia

For Memorial Day weekend, we took a trip to Virginia to visit Josh's sister Tiffany and her family. We took the kids to a splash pad on Saturday and had a great time there. Tanner really grew attached to his cousins (Maxwell, Jackson, and Camryn) over the weekend. They had so much fun playing together. We all had a great time that weekend.

Going on vacation makes Tanner forget that he needs to poop in the potty, not his underwear.

Philadelphia Zoo

Last Friday, Josh had a medical school board exam that he had to take in Philadelphia. So we made a trip of it. After dropping him off at his 8-hour test in downtown Philadelphia, I took the kids to the Philadelphia Zoo. We spent the day there, and Tanner never got bored! He would take a look at an animal for about a minute, and then he would run off to the next, saying, "More animals! More animals!" It was a really great activity for him. And little Brooklynn didn't cry or even whimper the entire day. She snoozed in her stroller a couple of times, and she just chilled happily the rest of the time.

Tanner was trying to pick the lock so he could go play with the tiger. Brave boy.

Mischievous Sister

Josh thought it would be funny to put Brooklynn on top of Tanner while he was napping on the couch. I think Brooklynn enjoyed taunting her brother!

Tanner's Super Cool Fort

In an effort to keep Tanner busy and entertained (since I don't have a car most days and can't go anywhere), I decided to make him a really cool fort with chairs, blankets, and the couch. It worked! He played in it for a long time. And, of course, his trains had to come see the cool fort, too. (You may have noticed that Tanner is wearing underwear. That's because we have been potty training him. It took about 2 weeks, but he is fully trained now!)

Visit from Grandpa Oaks

Josh's dad had a conference out in Syracuse, so he decided to stop by and visit us for a day. We had a good time visiting with him, and Tanner just loved snuggling up next to him on the couch!

Two Teeth

Brooklynn now has two teeth! Her smile is just adorable. Here are some cute pictures of my silly little girl.

New Tooth and Sitting Up

Brooklynn has a tooth! After taking a million pictures, trying to capture her first tooth, this was the best I could do. She just keeps it hidden!

She is also finally sitting up all by herself! The whole world is so much better when you can sit up. She seems to really love it.

Ready for Church

Little Brooklynn was showing off her pretty butterfly dress from Grandma Oaks on Sunday. Tanner hopped in to get some pictures, too.
