New Jersey Beach 2016

Today we went on a trip to Seven Presidents Oceanfront Beach. It was Travis's first beach experience, and the only time that we will go this summer, so I was a little camera happy. I couldn't resist taking a bunch of pictures. But it was worth it! We had a lot of fun. It was overcast and windy, which made Brooklynn super grumpy, but the boys didn't mind it one bit!

Here are Travis and Little Miss Grump Grump. She sat on that towel, wrapped in another towel, for the first 2 hours that we were there. Seriously...

Thanks to the weather, hardly anyone came and we had a good chunk of the beach to ourselves.

Not sure if that sand tastes good...

Brooklynn eventually broke out of her grumpy shell just enough to start playing with the sand around the towel that she was sitting on.

Seagulls started surrounding Brookie and she got terrified.

This is Travis and me chasing the seagulls away from her.

Travis loved the beach. He wasn't bothered by the sand, wind, or water. He was in heaven.

Despite the tight pony tail I pulled back and the gallon of hairspray I plastered her head with, those whisps still managed to get out.

Finally, this little girl let me carry her away from her stakeout spot.

Brookie's Night Gown

I got Brooklynn her very first night gown recently, and she is totally obsessed with it. She wants to wear it every night, and when I'm washing it, she is upset because she has to wear other jammies. She asks me on a daily basis, "Is my night gown washed?"

Travis Update

This big guy went to the pediatrician today for his 9-month check-up. He is 80th percentile for weight, and 97th percentile for height! He is TALL! When I tell people that he is 9 months old, they are shocked. He looks a lot bigger than that. It's funny, because Josh and I are short!
I went on a photo spree of him, and here are a few good ones.

New Trampoline!

Grandma and Grandpa Oaks gave Tanner and Brooklynn an early birthday present- an indoor trampoline! It's so cute, and the kids have a blast jumping on it! Tanner keeps begging me for more play dates so that all of his friends can see his awesome trampoline. Thank you, Grandma and Grandpa!

A Few Random Things

Tanner loves to hold his baby brother.

Tanner has been into legos lately. He makes crazy, random things all the time. This is a picture of him with Thor's hammer.

This is a train that he and Brookie made.

Travis loves to look outside the mudroom door. He hangs out in that room all the time.

Swimming Lessons

Tanner takes swimming lessons at the YMCA, and he loves it! He has improved a lot since he first started taking lessons.

Running Around Town

We've been going to a lot of playgrounds lately, as well as taking trips to the library. These are pictures of Travis's very first swing ride. The last pictures are of the kids building legos at the Summit library.

Fourth of July Carnival

This morning, we went to Summit's Fourth of July Carnival. The kids had a blast! Here are a few pictures of the things that the kids got to do. They did pony rides, a train ride, a bounce house, and a huge slide. The only one who didn't have fun was Travis- he was bored and ready for a nap the entire time.
