Tanner Swimming

One day at the pool, Tanner got all hooked up with his doggy floaties and a pool noodle. With all of those things, he was able to swim by himself. He learned how to kick his legs and doggy paddle around. It was fun to see his cute smile during this. He was having so much fun.

Fort with Daddy

Josh made a fort for Tanner one day. He put a sheet over the kitchen table, and he and Tanner crawled underneath it. Tanner, of course, loved it.

Big Trouble-Maker

Tanner got a hold of the onion powder from the pantry. I didn't discover it until it was too late- the entire container was poured out all over the couch. The same thing happened a week before with our container of black pepper. That couch has had it rough!

Hat Day

One day, Tanner decided that he wanted to wear his hat. He put it on himself and wore it for most of the day. It was so silly! And Josh thought it would be funny to put clothespins all over him, but judging by the look on Tanner's face, he didn't like it much.

Family Photos on the Beach

We decided that we should probably get some family pictures on the beach while we're still here in Grenada, since we probably won't get a chance to do beach pictures again for a while (if ever). Our good friend Natalia Ferguson took these pictures, and she did such a great job! They turned out great.

Hide-and-Seek

Tanner is finally able to understand the game hide-and-seek. Josh has been waiting for this for a long time. Now they play it every evening. Whenever they play, I have to restrain Tanner in the bedroom while Josh hides in the kitchen. When Josh says he's ready, I release the little man and he runs into the kitchen, laughing like a wild man. It's so cute!

Easter Family Picture

Our friend Lizzy Wright took family pictures of everyone at our Easter dinner. Here's the Oaks family! I love Tanner's smile.

Around the House

Tanner recently learned the beauty of dipping food. He likes to dip his hot dogs in ketchup. This is a common lunch around here for this little guy. Luckily he likes it, because it's cheap!

I bought Tanner a box of crayons and a coloring book the other day. It was a good idea, because it keeps him occupied. And even when he draws all over the coffee table and floor (as seen in the pictures), it's easy to wipe off with a wet rag. The only problem is, he loses about 2 crayons a day. Now he's down to 3 crayons. I'll have to figure out a way to keep him from losing them.

Tanner was eating a snack one day, and I guess he was feeling lazy because he rested his feet on the table and lounged. What a silly boy!

Happy Easter!

For Easter yesterday, we had a big get together with all of our friends. We had an Easter egg hunt and a pot luck dinner. It was so much fun! Tanner learned from his buddies how to say "cheese" for a picture. In this bottom picture, I told Tanner to say "cheese," and he said, "eeee!"

Countdown

I made a countdown chain for when we leave the island. We are so excited to be done here! Tanner gets to pull a link off every day. We now have 49 days until we fly out (assuming the airlines don't change our flight last minute, which is always a strong possibility).
