Front Porch Pics

This was my failed attempt at getting the kids to sit next to each other on the porch and smile. At least they did a good job with the individual pics.

Humidity

This is what happens to Brooklynn's hair in extreme humidity. We were at a ward camp out on the Delaware River, and it was incredibly humid. I couldn't believe how curly her hair got!

Kids' Museum

A couple of weeks ago, we took the kids to a kids' museum. Here are some photos that turned out. I had a lot more, but most of them ended up really blurry and I had to delete them (I was using my phone camera). The kids had a fantastic time! (No surprise there.)
One of the first things we did was the ballet room. Brooklynn got to dress in a tutu and ballet shoes. She flipped out when we tried to take them off, so the clothes stayed on for the rest of the time we were there. Feisty girl.

Tanner's favorite room was the post office. He sorted mail for the longest time- we couldn't get him to leave. He was obsessed with it.

Silly Kids in the Bathroom

New Clothes

Tanner got a new Spiderman jacket from Grandma Niederhauser in the mail. He loves it!

Tanner also got some new Paw Patrol underwear at Target. He was so excited to open it and look at each one. When he was done, Brooklynn took a turn looking at the underwear. One ended up on her head like a hat, and one ended up on her bum. And she wouldn't allow me to take them off of her for the rest of the day.

While the kids were playing outside, I took the opportunity to take pictures of Brooklynn in her new Elsa shoes. Her feet have been growing, and she grew out of all her shoes. So I had to go buy her the next size up. We found her some pretty Elsa (from Frozen) sandals.

Finished Rooms

At Mom's request, I finally took pictures of a few more rooms that are now finished.

Batting Cages

We hadn't done a family activity pretty much since Josh started residency a month ago, so we decided to hit up the batting cages in Springfield. The kids loved the T-ball cage, but their favorite thing was the running track. It's the length from home base to first base, and it times how fast you run. Tanner ran down it so many times, he was drenched in sweat when we left. He definitely slept well that night! Brooklynn loved the popcorn and the helmet. It was so big on her that it kept sliding around on her head, but every time I tried to take it off, she flipped out and demanded that I put it back on her head. So the helmet stayed on. Feisty girl.

Car Carts

I just LOVE that both kids love to ride in these things at the store. Tanner calls them "car carts." It makes grocery shopping ten times easier, because they are totally entertained the entire shopping trip. There are two seats and two steering wheels, so they don't fight over anything in there. When we're going down an aisle with no one else in it, I weave the cart back and forth like a crazy driver, and they think it's so much fun.
