A Very Smart Boy

Tanner is a very smart boy because he knows that BYU is the best! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Niederhauser for the sweet tie! He got many compliments on it at church.

Oaks Snowmen

Tanner was ecstatic when he woke up to snow on Saturday morning. He ran into my bedroom to wake me up, saying, "Christmas came down!" I guess that's what he associates snow with. He wanted to put up the Christmas tree and everything! Silly kid. I had to explain to him that it was just snow, and that Christmas was over.
All four of us bundled up and went outside to build our family in snowmen. The two big ones on the left are me and Josh, and the two little ones on the right are Tanner and Brooklynn.

New Jersey Bagels

They say here that you haven't really lived in New Jersey until you've tried a New Jersey bagel. Apparently bagels are a big deal here... Anyway, when Josh went to Tennessee for an interview, the kids and I decided to go get a New Jersey bagel! We needed to do something to lift our spirits while their daddy was away. We got a toasted cinnamon raisin and a toasted blueberry. I have to say, New Jersey bagels are delicious!

Silly Little Princess

I walked into the kids' room one night to put Tanner to bed, and I found little Brooklynn dangling from the side of the bed. She loves to play on his bed, and when she wants to get down, she slides down feet-first until her feet hit the ground. But this time, she got stuck. Her feet couldn't find the floor, so she just sat there dangling until I came to rescue her. She wasn't crying or anything-- just waiting patiently for me to get her! It was adorable.

And here's a cute story: Our medical school friend Shane Ahlstrom asked Tanner one day what his baby sister's name is, and he replied, "Princess." Tanner must have learned that from Josh, who always calls Brooklynn "princess."

Thomas Bed!

Here are some pictures of Tanner's Thomas bed. He loves it! He got the sheets from Grandma and Grandpa Niederhauser for Christmas. And that's a new spiffy blanket, too. (Brooklynn was being a little grumpy and didn't want to sit for the picture.)

This Little Piggy

Tanner loves to play "This Little Piggy" with my toes. In this video, he says, "This piggy went to the market, this piggy stayed home, watched UmiZoomi, this piggy buy food, this piggy buy food, this piggy wee wee wee home!"

Tanner's Box

This is Tanner's box. It has been his project for the last several months. He loves to pull out his crayons and markers and go to work on it every now and then. He loves to pretend that it's an airplane and has me push him around the apartment while he sits in it.

Sledding in Utah

Josh and Erin took Tanner sledding at the park one day, and here are a few pictures of their adventures. It looks like they had a great time!

Here are my last few pictures from our trip to Utah. It was Brooke's first time playing in the snow. I pulled them around the yard in their sleds, and they were all giggles!

A Snowy Christmas

We didn't have snow on Christmas Eve, but when we woke up on Christmas morning, it was a winter wonderland outside! So here are a few fun pictures of some of us playing outside in the snow. And the video at the end is pretty epic.

Christmas 2014

Okay, this picture wasn't from Christmas day... but I realized that it's my best photo of the kids in their Christmas church clothes, and I didn't even put it in the earlier post! So here it is.

Tanner got a lot of trains for Christmas! He was in heaven.

In this picture, Tanner is laying cozy in his new tepee that Erin and Ali made for him and Brooklynn. It is such a great gift for the kids! We love it!

As you can see in these pictures, we had an AWESOME Christmas! It was really great to spend the day with the coolest people in the world- family. Tanner was so tuckered out by all the excitement that he passed out on the couch at the end of the day when we were just finishing up dinner.
