La Sagesse Beach

For Grenada Independence Day today, we went to La Sagesse Beach. This was our first time at that beach, and we loved it! It is probably the most beautiful beach I have ever been to in Grenada. It is shallow way far out, so you can walk really far into the water and still be only in up to your hips. The waves are calm, too, which was nice for Tanner. The beach was surrounded by palm trees and a lot of greenery. I cannot believe how beautiful that beach was.

There was a little stream that ran through the sand into the ocean. This is where Tanner had the most fun. He found sticks and splashed the water with them. And he practiced his swimming.

There was a Grenadian man by the stream, climbing a tree and picking fruit. He gave us some, saying that they are called jujubes (pronounced "ju-ju-bee", like the candy). They looked and tasted like tiny apples. (And those kids in that picture are his kids, playing with Tanner's boat.)
Tanner had so much fun at the beach, he was all tuckered out on the way home and fell asleep. What a fun trip that was!
